The BCO Annual conference comes back to Birmingham from 22nd to 24th May this year, after over a decade touring other fabulous global destinations.
Delegates will discover a city transformed by extensive inward investment, an array of significant cultural and sporting events, exceptional, culturally diverse food and beverage offers, and a re-found civic pride.
The BCO Midlands committee are delighted to have been integral in planning the conference and indeed will be fully involved in chairing, hosting and taking part in an extensive range of Plenary Sessions, city wide tours, networking events, built environment discussions and activities over the week.
The BCO Tours are an exciting opportunity to give delegates access to some of Birmingham's most significant landmark buildings and developments. This demonstrates the level of commitment that businesses both national and international have shown in Birmingham, whilst also showcasing best-in-class workplace design, historical and culturally rich landmarks and presenting new city icons. The tours will be a true demonstration of how workplace design and Birmingham's built environment is indeed addressing much needed change; attracting and retaining creative talent across all sectors through improved thoughtful amenity, better connectivity, diversity, inclusivity and environmental considerations.
We're excited to be showcasing buildings such as 55 Colmore Row and The Assay Studios which hold rich historical importance to the city, the Paradise Development and 103 Colmore Row which demonstrate striking, bold long-term investments and visionary placemaking. Tours such as STEAMHouse will demonstrate the positive impact that further and higher education is having on our city and the young and diverse demographics it continues to attract.
Tours of workspaces such as RICS will demonstrate how important environmentally conscious design consultancy and delivery is becoming for clients who are taking stock of their existing space, ensuring it remains relevant through rightsizing, re-use and refurbishment. Savills, delivered in 2017, will demonstrate that metrics-based workplace strategy and design provides solutions that are highly resilient to the numerous global challenges we have all experienced impact our built environments, day-to-day business operations, attraction and retention.
We're looking forward to welcoming the world.
