Following our previous announcement of the Cushman & Wakefield Birmingham office being shortlisted for the 2025 BCO Awards, Midlands and Central England, last week the Squaredot team attended the awards luncheon at The Eastside Rooms in Birmingham.
While the team didn't take home the award on this occasion, the nomination itself is a significant achievement and a testament to the hard work and collaborative spirit of everyone involved. It underscores Squaredot's commitment to designing spaces that not only look good but also truly work for the people who use them, following our approach of People, Process, Place.
Designed by Squaredot the impressive transformation of Cushman & Wakefield's fifth-floor space at One Colmore Square was nominated in the "Projects up to 2,500m²" category. This nomination is a fantastic recognition of the project's success in creating a flexible and inclusive environment that truly reflects Cushman & Wakefield's evolving work styles and culture.
As highlighted in our previous article, the project focused heavily on engagement, taking on feedback from the local team and the wider business. The resulting space has become a testament to this collaborative approach, fostering greater interaction, collaboration, creativity, innovation, and a stronger sense of culture.
A key element of the design, the "Centre of Gravity," has proven particularly popular, transforming a previously underutilised break space into a vibrant hub for various activities and gatherings. The overall workspace design also prioritised connections across the floor, offering a range of settings to support both collaborative and focused work.
The positive impact of the new office is clear. Not only has it significantly increased staff satisfaction, but it has also become a showcase for Cushman & Wakefield's vision and ability to deliver excellence, leading to increased revenue from visiting clients.
Squaredot directors Kris Krokosz, David Kramer, and Studio Lead Paul Tupman were delighted to attend the awards ceremony, sharing a table with representatives from Cushman & Wakefield, Pulse Consult, Aston University and Turner & Townsend.
We are incredibly proud of this project and the positive impact it has had on Cushman & Wakefield's Birmingham team and their clients. Congratulations to everyone involved
