Squaredot today won a regional BCO award in this year’s competition. It is the eighth regional award to be picked up by the practice and underpins the consistent high level of work being completed. This year’s was the third for a building commissioned by Birmingham City Council. Part of the “Working for the future” programme, Woodcock Street, represents the culmination of a 5 year re-design of its core properties. The flagship administration building offers its users a completely new working environment that captures the heart and soul of the city. The approach is consistent with the guidelines set out by Squaredot at the projects inception in January 2008 and is based around a developing model of user agility. The City Council is rightly very proud of this flagship building which allowed them to rationalise their property portfolio and cut costs. The strong BREEAM and EPC ratings endorse the credentials of this high quality multifunction office.
